Most exterior upgrades pay for themselves in energy savings and insurance claims. We offer a home maintenance plan that’s affordable and aimed towards new homeowners, and those who aren’t comfortable hanging off ladders. We go over every inch of the exterior of your home and caulk any problem areas around windows and corners. If we see anything that concerns us we will show you and discuss the best way to address the problem given the budget. Matt says “It’s good to know your home and check it after every storm and redo your caulking every few years.” You’ll be surprised how affordable it is to keep your investment dry and leak free.

Types of Siding

Most are COMPARABLE, giving you the choice to Capture the look you want

Metal Cladding: Has become more and more popular because it comes with a superior finish that last for 50+ years with basically no maintenance. There are several different patterns and sizes to choose from which include hidden fasteners to corrugated exposed fastener metal. Metal is the best if you’re exposed to driving rains or if your home has no over hangs. Can withstand hurricane winds.

Cedar Siding: A natural wood product known for its longevity, usually stained, but can be burnt or chard called shou sugi ban. Red cedar actually has insulating properties when installed on exterior walls. We can install it vertical or horizontal and even on soft-its for a clean look that won’t age over time. Matt doesn’t recommend installing cedar on homes that don’t have roof over hangs.

Engineered Wood Siding: It works, looks and cuts like traditional wood, except it has a longer lifespan. It comes in several looks. Lap siding, panel siding, trim and fascia, cedar texture shakes, and perfection shingles.  Minimal waste with this product and low maintenance. Rot and insect free.

Cultured Stone or “manufactured stone” refers to “stone” that is made in a factory. Typically, it is molded into many different shapes using concrete. The concrete shapes are then stained with various hues to achieve the most natural look possible. Usually used on the bottom 4 feet of your house that faces the street.

Vinyl Siding: Lasts a long time and is quick to install with very low maintenance. In the right application it can be installed over top of existing siding. It makes sense in our area especially  when used with a breathable building paper. This is a product that gives great results at a low price.

Cedar Shake: Local product that doesn’t rot. It looks great to accent a gable or a window. No west coast themed home is complete without some cedar shake.  When treating shakes, they should be stained on both sides.

Cement Broad: Fiber-cement siding is an extremely durable and versatile material, and it has become a very popular choice in our climate. Comes pre-stained and ready to install. When properly installed over rain screen it can last a lifetime. Minimal waste with this product. Very popular choice in newer subdivisions.
